Update: Swine Flu Vaccine

I have received multiple email responses to my previous post. Again, As I stated before... I'm not arguing that you shouldn't use vaccines, in fact I encourage the use of most vaccines and I vaccinate my children. I'm not claiming to be a medical expert on this subject. What I am doing is providing you with some facts and encouraging you to research this vaccine for yourself! I previously wrote about the most alarming facts to me, personally. I have since received numerous emails about the validity of the research and references. Some stating that the information I provided was from "biased" sources. First of all, every source is biased, truly they are. The CDC, Human Health Services, and most doctors are going to encourage you to get the vaccine...just like they do ALL vaccines, hence biased information. The links posted were not references they were additional resources for your use.

Update: It has been released that there will be a vaccine available to pregnant women and children under the age of 6 years old that will not contain thimerosal (mercury) by the drug maker CSL, the name of the vaccine is Celvapan. It is limited in supply in comparison to the other vaccine. The current vaccine being administered in some areas which does include thimerosal is Panderix. Now you know what to search for.

I also feel very compelled to share with you that while all the information being released about the number deaths is alarming, approximately 36,000 Americans die from seasonal flu each year. The world wide seasonal flu death total is between 250,000-500,000 each year. Just the normal old flu. So far in 2009, there have been 556 people die from H1N1 (from the CDC). In comparison there have been over 13,000 (just Americans) die from seasonal influenza since January. Where a "projection" of 90,000 Americans dying from H1N1 is scary for sure, I have not seen a single fact or resource that could back up where they are getting this "90,000" number from- statistically from the past 8 months of this year 90,000 seems like a giant over-estimate used to create a sense of extreme urgency. There are only 4 months left in 2009, so they are saying that 22,500 Americans will die every month from swine flu from TODAY (September 1st) until the end of the year., that's approximately 750 people per day. Yes, that would indeed be a pandemic but it's highly unlikely.

More great links for information about H1N1:

The above is a particularly interesting Q&A session, which lead to me googling for more information on things like adjuvants. *I also noted when re-reading this that it says "pregnant women were not included in test studies", so that answers that question. They have no idea what it could do to your fetus. They will begin testing on a group of pregnant women in October- once it's already being administered.

This is one of the many articles I read about adjuvants.

General information about signs, symptoms, etc.

I recommend that EVERYONE bookmark the following website from CDC, which is a flu tracker. It tracks every reported case of the flu and is broken down by regions.
http://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/fluactivity.htm

Last but not least... another thing to ponder: I live in the IV region of the above CDC link for flu tracker. Our local news released information about local colleges with swine flu cases being reported. The vaccine will not be administered to the public until October at the earliest with most offices receiving it in November. If the cases are starting now, will you already be exposed by November? Seems like too little (research) too late, if you ask me. By the way--- the cases reported in my area: Mild seasonal flu-like symptoms, most college kids are saying that they feel like they could go to class still, but they are being ordered to stay home.

Again, if you have a link you'd to share please leave it in a comment for everyone to access! :)

Very interesting article passed along on Twitter about the 1918 flu (spanish influenza) and how it was a vaccine induced illness. Good short read packed full of good info. including a letter warning over 600 neurologists to be prepared for increased neurology cases after the swine flu vaccine is administered.
