How adorable is this Hotsling?!? There are so many fabric choices (organic too) that I don't know how anyone can pick just one sling out! If you aren't familiar with a pocket sling, it is a piece of fabric and the ends are sewn together to create a fancy little loop. Once you fold your sling in half, it creates a "pocket" that your baby sits on or lays inside. Hotslings, and pocket slings in general are fabulous for newborns and small infants! Only one complaint for this babywearing device, even though it goes up to 35 lbs. it isn't as comfortable as some of the other carriers that support that weight. We found the Hotsling to be most comfortable for children under 25 lbs. I will say, my 3 year old twins (31 lbs.) can fit in the Hotsling but it's a little snug for both of us.

I have to agree on the weight limitations. In my opinion most baby carriers out there provide the weight recommendations based on the structural integrity of the carriers to widen the potential customer base. I would love to see an age or weight limitation that is based upon actual comfort and development of the baby.
Just because you can use a Hotsling up to 35 lbs does not mean it is comortable. Many mei tais are recommended from birth, but I think once they have head control they are more appropriate. Thanks for the post!

Katie: I would also love to see a limitation based on development and comfort. I do think a lot companies try to break it down by position, but it's normally on the instructional video INSIDE the package. Not much help when you're buying.
