Eco-Christmas Week: Maukilo & Automoblox Cars

That post title looks like a foreign language but don't let it scare you off! Maukilo is a fantastic e-commerce website full of incredible European toys for the little ones on your list! Maukilo is owned by HABA, the 70 year old German mack daddy of well made, long lasting, creative, educational, and affordable toys maker! We adore HABA and now we love Maukilo too! Maukilo carries several other brands as well but what we love most about Maukilo is that all of their products are either educational or promote creative play. You can feel good about letting your little one play with any of the toys from Maukilo since they are all non-toxic and battery free! Battery-free? Yep!!! There will be no searching for batteries on Christmas morning with any of the purchases you make from Maukilo; all of their toys are kid-powered.

So, what got me shopping at Maukilo? Among other things, AUTOMOBLOX! If you read regularly then you already know I have 4 year old twin boys, a 2 year old son and another son due in about a month. Boys, boys, boys! And boys love cars! Automoblox aren't your typical car by any stretch of the imagination. They are wooden cars that your child can completely take apart and reassemble! The wheels come off, the top comes off, it breaks down into "front, middle, back" pieces and all of the pieces are interchangeable with other Automoblox cars. Wait a minute.. a car that I'm letting 4 year olds and a 2 year old take apart? Have I lost my mind? How do we get them back to the original form? My favorite part- each car & it's pieces are color coded! The boys have a blast building funny looking cars and they love how fast the cars race across our carpet because they are wooden!
