One of the most wonderful parts about the holidays is creating Christmas crafts, and you can make it even better by making them eco-friendly! It's a great way to teach your kids how fun it is to be creative at home, yet also be thoughtful of the environment.

Christmas Cards: If you want your kids to have a hand in making Christmas cards for the family, then there are a number of eco-friendly craft materials that you can use. Start out by using recycled paper as the base for your Christmas cards, and then draw on a number of items you have around the house! Any recycled fabrics from old clothes would be perfect, and you can also use pens, markers, and paint to decorate the cards. Recycled and affordable!

Christmas Ornament: An easy environmentally friendly Christmas ornament for kids to make starts out with one simple egg carton. All you will need is white paint, glue, glitter, ribbon, and googly eyes. Begin by cutting out two of the egg holders from the bottom of the carton so that you have two halves. Glue these two halves into the shape of a ball, and allow the glue to dry. You can use three of these balls to create a snowman by gluing them together, and then decorate the snowman with eyes, paint, and glitter to be hung by a ribbon from the Christmas tree.

Homemade Wrapping Paper: This is a wonderful treat for children, and all you need to do is save paper bags from the grocery store. You can allow them to decorate the paper bags however they would like, or even buy Christmas decals and stickers for decoration. Paper bags are also wonderful to decorate with glitter, sponge paint, or ribbons. Perfect for the holiday season!

Christmas is over and removing the decors is near, but I must say that your tips are helpful because there will always be christmas next year.
