Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better...

I have new vice in my life; a blog, Knock-Off Wood. This blog could change it's web address to the bomb dot com, it's {that} good. The author or I should say carpenter, Ana, creates do-it-yourself furniture plans that mock those pricey beauties in expensive retail stores like Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and Restoration Hardware. Ana creates easy to follow plans that even a beginner, like myself, can make! Check out a few of my favorites plans from Knock-Off Wood, the first one is on the top of my list. And best of all they are both eco-friendly!

The Recycling Center: inspiration from Pottery Barn

What I love most about the plans for this recycling center is that Ana has created two drawer options, sliding or tilt. We're building this and using it in our kitchen/breakfast nook as a console table as well. THANKS ANA! Maybe with the extra money we will save I can talk my husband into a hot pink KitchenAid Mixer. Wouldn't that be the perfect cherry on top of my recycling center?

The Farmhouse Table from Salvaged Lumber: inspiration from Restoration Hardware.

Why I love it? It's a farmhouse table!! Slide a couple benches under the sides, what's not to love? AND, it's recycled wood. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too? You can at Knock-Off Wood! LOoooove IT!
