My three oldest boys are officially book club members. They joined the our library's summer book club. It's pretty cute, they have to read (or be read) 10 books to receive a prize. Each time they complete a book they get to color a part of their book chart. They are excited and I'm glad the library is doing something to encourage them to read more than they already do! I was thinking about that, I also love to read but could use a little extra motivation to take the time to do so daily.
As of today, Give Them Roots has a book club!!! Each month we will feature one new book. Some months will be reader picks and other months will be publisher picks (and probably giveaways!). The last Thursday of each month will be "Book Club", I'll post a list of questions about the read and we can chat about our favorite parts. I'd love to eventually host Skype parties and video chats, but let's start out slow and see how it goes!
