Oh. my.. aching... uterus. Every DIY tutorial or idea that I come across for babies makes me want another baby... eh, maybe not. My sweet baby boy is almost out of the "counting by months" phase (ex. 23 months). Evan will be two years old in less than a month! I still think he would love these little guys though. Honestly, I think that my four and six year old boys would probably love them too.
Socktopuses

These are so amazingly easy! To turn your Socktopuses into a really sweet gift, think about using a cute basket and filling it to the brim with these adorable sea creatures.
- Stuff a sock with fabric scraps, plastic bags, rice/beans or all three for different sounds and textures!
- Sew the sock closed & cut 8 legs. To make the fabric curl like it is in the picture, simply stretch the leg very gently.
If you don't have lonesome socks that you could recycle, try the local Dollar Store and then think of another baby you can gift a matching set to. While you're there, grab some buttons for the octopus's eyes.
Tip: When you go to close the sock try this: weave the thread in and out of fabric in the full circle of the sock and leave 2 thread tails hanging down on the inside of the sock. Then pull the two threads taut to close the sock opening, tie a strong knot for closure and then snip the ends.
