Let's Help Haiti

My heart aches for the people of Haiti every day, most especially today. It's feared that thousands are dead after Haiti experienced a magnitude 7.0 earthquake just 10 miles outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital yesterday. An earthquake of that magnitude would be catastrophic for any country, particularly an impoverished country like Haiti.

Here's a few links that are accepting donations for relief aid. I'd like to challenge and encourage each of you to take a moment to donate. Even $5 can go a long way in helping the people of Haiti.

You can also donate $10 to the Red Cross by texting "HAITI" to 90999. The donation will automatically go to the Red Cross.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the vicitms of yesterday's earthquake. Wish I could do more...

Thanks for the links. It's awful to see what's happened. 100,000 estimated deaths. I had a professor in college who said that the disaster was just the beginning and that lack of water and infestation afterwards usually lead to a death toll higher than the initial incident. I'll definitely be donating. I wish I could be there to help.

Thanks for the comment Lori. Yes, sadly Haiti has a very long road to recovery and the worst part was they were JUST recovering from being rocked by several hurricanes this past year. I wish I could be there to help too! Or that I could adopt masses of Haitian children.
