Have you ever tried baby cereal? It's no wonder babies make that awful face the first time you give them a scoop of rice cereal. It's barely edible.
Forget the taste and tell me, why am I giving my child something that has essentially no vitamins or minerals in it? White rice is probably the least nutrional grain you can consume. Well, I've figured it out. It's the least likely to cause an allergic reaction, constipation, and irritability. It's a "tummy prep" course, just a little more substance than breastmilk but not a lot. Unfortunately, it's a far cry from the nutritional benefits of breastmilk. Rice cereal is no more than a filler.
So, now what? Easy, if you have a recipe that calls for rice but you want more nutritional impact, what do you buy? Brown Rice. I don't think that five years ago, brown rice was an option for baby cereal. That is, unless you made it. In 2010, it is.

Could you hear the sigh of relief when I stumbled across HAPPYBELLIES Organic Brown Rice cereal all the way at your house? They won me over with this bullet on their label: 100% Natural: We support sustainable agriculture. No pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, no genetically engineered ingredients (GEIs).
Here's what we know: it's organic brown rice so it's packing a more nutritional punch. But, did you know HAPPYBELLIES is packing a 1-2 punch?
1- Fortified with vitamins and minerals
2- Enhanced with DHA & Probiotics
HAPPYBELLIES is the ONLY baby cereal with probiotics. Not many know the benefits of probiotics. Simply put: there are two different types of bacterias in your digestive system, the good ones and the bad ones. Probiotics build a bigger, better, stronger army of the good guys in your belly. These good bacterias can help keep your child from developing potential allergies. Dr. Sears also recommends and supports HAPPYBELLIES cereals. Sears said, "Baby foods with probiotics are a great way to make sure your baby's system has plenty of 'good bowel bugs'.The gastro-intestinal (GI) tract is the body's largest immune organ. The better you feed your baby's GI tract, the better you feed your baby's immune system."
You probably already know the benefits of DHA since it's a staple in prenatal care now. But, if you don't, DHA is essential in supporting healthy brain and eye development. By the way, HAPPYBELLIES is also the only organic baby cereal with DHA.

I just saw this stuff the other day, and was wondering about it. We just started rice cereal. I wish I would have purchased this stuff instead of the plain rice by gerber. Now I know....
