Hi friends! I’m Dare, your root enthusiast on GiveThemRoots.

In 2005 something amazing happened. I became a mom. Flash forward to the present. Somewhere along my journey of motherhood I became a tree hugging hippie, at least according to my Mom (love you). I'm a healthy eating, organic shopping, cloth diapering, 3-R following, baby wearing, breastfeeding, baby food making, vegetable gardening, outdoor adventuring MOMMY!

When four little boys aren't calling me Mommy, I'm busy helping other women on their path to motherhood. I'm a DONA International birth doula and a volunteer doula with the Peace Tree Organization, the first NC women's prison-doula program. Oh yeah- and a blogger!

So, maybe I am a crunchy mom. But, I have a secret. I’m happier and my family is happier & healthier.
