... a happy, excited, and proud little babe! I'll spare you the shots that followed with cereal oozing from every orifice on my child. ;) But here's one last shot of a Stay-Near-Home-Mom's best friend...
Confession: The first time I saw the spoon in the picture above, I laughed hysterically. I was helping a friend with her baby registry and I think I said something like this, "Seriously? A spoon that holds baby food? Wow, talk about lazy.". Then I saw a mom whip one out of her diaper bag, loaded and ready to go at a restaurant one evening and my perspective changed.
I. Had. To. Have. One. No messy spoon to put away or empty jar to leave behind, which will end up in the trash and not in the recycling bin. No stirring or mixing while baby screams bloody murder, receiving several "Why'd you bring that baby out?" death stares. AND, it has a nifty little spoon cover to keep the spoon clean and the food inside!
Boon's Squirt spoon is the bee's knees. Trust me. Sorry friends, we're not giving one of these away because technically they aren't "eco-friendly" but they are great! Just don't put it in the dishwasher (heat + plastic = chemically bad idea). Grab one at your nearest Boon dealer (Target, BabiesRus and more.) and if you don't LOVE it then you can send the hate mail to givethemroots(AT)gmail(DOT)com.
Confession: My name is Dare, and I am addicted to cute baby bibs. Seems like a harmless addiction... until you see the ridiculous number I've acquired over the past 4 years of feeding my children. There's two thing I've learned in my 4 years.
1) Bibs need to be waterproof.
2) The bigger the better.
The first time I told you about Mimi The Sardine was during a back to school feature. Mimi The Sardine made the groovy lunch totes and bags, that I recommend to everyone! Mimi has done it again with the new Messy Baby Bib. Evan is sporting the Jungle pattern in both pictures above.
Fav Features:
-Long Sleeves
-Permanent water and SOIL proof eco-coating
-Machine Washable

Letting your baby explore food texture is an important part of development. It's also entirely way too messy for this mom, unless we have a serious bib on. A bib like Mimi The Sardine's Messy Baby bib. The long sleeve design lets baby literally "dig in" and keeps clothing clean in the process. The Messy Baby bib has a crumb catch pocket, that also holds any runaway liquids. The eco-coating keeps your baby and the environment safe and sound. The fabric that Mimi The Sardine uses in the Messy Baby bib meets the Oeko-Tex 100 Standard, a European safety standard for textiles and it goes above and beyond the USA requirements. The cotton is then coated with non-toxic water-based acrylic making it the softest waterproof bib you will find! The coating is also soil resistant. Meaning, when your little one experiences spaghetti for the first time you won't be left with an orange stained bib! Mimi also brings jobs home, by manufacturing the bibs in California! (Note: The fabrics are European made but this is one overseas exception you'll want to make! European standards are considerably higher than USA standards.)
And it's your lucky day!! We ARE giving one of these babies away. Big thanks to Mimi the Sardine for allowing us to giveaway one of the fabulous, new Messy Baby bibs to one lucky reader!

I LOVE that spoon! We grabbed one before an out of town trip and the thing is just the best! Word to the wise...it's only good for fully pureed foods which are all #1 foods. Any chunks regardless of how small and you've got major clogging!
